Real Glass Neon Signs

All Neon Creations signs are made from genuine glass neon tubing — hand-bent by our expert craftspeople in our Bolton workshop. Each sign is unique, made to your exact specification and designed to last for many years with normal use.

Technical Specifications

• Tubing: genuine glass neon tube, 10mm or 15mm diameter depending on design
• Gas: neon or argon with phosphor coating for colour range
• Transformer: included with every sign — UK plug, CE certified
• Voltage: 230v UK standard supply
• Power consumption: approximately 3 to 5 watts per foot of tubing
• Operating temperature: suitable for indoor use in temperatures of 0 to 40 degrees Celsius

Backings and Mounting

Signs are available on a range of backings including wood, acrylic, metal and direct wall mounting. Full details of all backing options are available on our Backing Options page. All signs come with fixings and installation instructions.

Warranty

Every Neon Creations sign comes with a 2-year warranty covering electrical components and transformers. This warranty does not cover physical damage caused by misuse, accidental breakage or incorrect installation.

Care and Maintenance

• Keep the sign away from water and moisture unless specifically designed for outdoor use
• Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth — do not use chemical cleaners on the glass tubing
• Switch the sign off at the transformer when not in use for extended periods
• Do not attempt to repair the sign yourself — contact our team if any issues arise

Outdoor Signs

We produce weatherproof signs suitable for covered outdoor use. Please specify at the time of ordering if your sign will be used outdoors so we can use appropriate materials and sealants.

LED Flex Signs

Where LED flex neon is specified, the sign uses a silicone-coated LED strip rather than glass tubing. LED flex signs are lighter, more flexible and suitable for some applications where glass neon is not practical. Technical specifications vary by product — please ask our team for details.
