Acrylic Cases For Neon Signs
An acrylic case consists of a back, sides and a front, so that the neon tubes are fully encased. The back is usually clear, satin black, or satin white, however other colours and finishes are available upon request. It isn't compulsory to have the neon tubes covered over, but clients choose this option for a traditional neon sign look, or if the sign is in a busy location where they would like protection against the tubes being broken.
An acrylic case can be fixed to a wall or other fascia, suspended from chains or steel cable, or depending on the overall size, can free stand on a flat surface. We usually use 10mm thick acrylic for the sides to make them more robust. Simply hang or fix to the wall and plug into a standard mains plug socket.
A clear back acrylic case is a great choice if you are locating the neon sign on a wall and would like to see the wall through the back of the case — for example if it is brick, painted a particular colour, or decorated with wallpaper you would like to remain visible. This is also a popular choice for businesses hanging a sign in a window, as it does not block the light coming through.

An acrylic case with a satin black back gives a more retro feel to a neon sign. The contrast between the brightly coloured neon and the black backing creates a real pop of colour. It also provides a great option if you would like the transformer and wiring to be less obvious against the background. We can also supply with a gloss black back if you would like the neon tubes to be more reflective.

It also provides a great option if you would like the transformer and wiring to be less obvious. We can also supply with a gloss white back if you would like the neon tubes to be more reflective against the white acrylic.
In instances where it's not an option to fix the acrylic case to a fascia or hang it, we are able to provide the acrylic case with legs or another type of base. This is ideal for table centrepieces, event displays and shelf installations.
Please note that free standing is not feasible if the acrylic case is very large.
