At this time of year, we’re like elves our studio, busy working to create stunning pieces of neon artwork for clients; and around Christmas, we receive an abundance of requests from domestic clients looking for something unique and special to give as a present.
Whilst we’re afraid you’ve definitely missed the boat on any special requests in time for Christmas this year if you have something in mind for next year make sure you get in touch and we can see what we can do for a birthday, special occasion or even something in advance for next Christmas!
Working on pieces for domestic clients brings us joy, as we can see how much seeing someone’s name, or even favourite quote or lyrics in neon light can bring them. Our Neon Creations’ do not require specialist installation, (unless stated in the initial brief) therefore you will be required to install it yourself. But don’t worry, this isn’t as daunting a task as it may seem, in this blog we’ll go through a few of the simple steps to help you along the way if you have received a Neon Creation!
Did you see this sign we recently completed for Abbey Clancey and Peter Crouch? Abbey Clancey chose a George Harrison quote to be placed on the wall in subtle pink neon colour and her own handwriting to make it even more personal for her and her family to enjoy each day.
Our neon signs are mounted either inside an acrylic case or on an acrylic panel ensuring they are easily portable. They come supplied with a mains plug and can be plugged into any accessible plug socket in your home, the combination of the acrylic case and the mains plug means it is easy to hang it on your wall at home, occasionally we will supply our Neon Creations’ with a chain hanging bracket, but this will depend on the size and shape of your Creation.
It’s important that you place your neon sign on a wall that is well ventilated, and will ensure that the sign will not be affected by anything in the immediate area; as well as this, it should be placed high enough on a wall that it cannot be accessed by children who might be able to touch it.
Generally speaking, a lot of our neon signs do not require any kind of specialist installation unless specifically stated; however, signs for permanent external use and some larger internal neon sign will require specialist installation. This is something to be mindful of when you are looking to commission a Neon Creation.
Well, in that case, you will need a specialist neon installation, this can be done by a neon sign installer or an electrician with neon experience, and it must be done in accordance with IEE wiring regulations.

Just to let you know, Christmas is one of our busiest periods, so if you are looking to commission a sign as a present in future make sure you enquire within plenty of time! Our bespoke signs generally have a lead time of up to five weeks over the festive period, and a lot of the time we will be busy with commissions with previous clients, so it’s a good idea to get your requirements over to us as early as possible to give us plenty of time to meet your needs!
