Neon Signs to Keep You Motivated

April 24, 2020 2 min read

As we continue to get used to this new normal, it’s easy to fall out of your usual routine and lose sight of your day-to-day tasks. After all, things like getting dressed don’t seem as important when you aren’t leaving the house! However, it is important to try and stay as motivated as you can and look after your wellbeing.

Finding motivation whilst in lockdown can be tricky, whether you are still working full time or you have been furloughed. It’s certainly not an easy period for many individuals and businesses, so if you find yourself with some extra time on your hands, try and explore some new activities or hobbies to keep yourself busy.

To keep you going through this difficult time, here are just some of our favourite neon signs to give you some encouragement!

Motivation to keep fit

Whether you were already an avid athlete or not, exercising whilst in lockdown is more important than ever. Not only can it improve your mood, but it gives you a great excuse to get moving or get some fresh air!

Set yourself a goal; it might be something as small as going for a daily walk, or it might be something more challenging. Whatever it is, push yourself and encourage yourself to stay fit and active. You never know what you might achieve, and you can look back on this unfortunate time of lockdown with even a small sense of pride.

Motivation to keep positive

During this time of uncertainty, it can feel like a struggle to stay positive and look to the future. However, it’s so important to remember that this won’t last forever. You are no doubt worrying and feeling stressed about what impact this might have, but by staying positive it can make it just a little bit easier to get through each day.

Hopefully in the not-too-distant future we will look back on this time and be grateful for being able to see family again, going on holiday or simply just meeting friends at the pub. Things will get better and it’s key to stay as positive and as realistic as possible during this strange time.

Motivation to keep busy

If you are still working, then thankfully you have some distraction to get you through each day as you complete the necessary jobs at hand. However, many people have been put on leave or have been furloughed, which can suddenly give you a lot of spare time that you weren’t expecting.

It’s key to keep yourself as busy as you can, without overdoing it, and keep your mind active. Don’t sit watching the news or scrolling through social media for hours; take up a new hobby or do those DIY jobs you’ve been putting off. Baking has become a hugely popular way to spend your time; perhaps you can perfect your skills or do some fun baking with the kids.

It’s a great time to pick up a book, start painting or watch a fascinating documentary. When do you ever have enough spare time to enjoy doing something any of those things? Embrace the time you have and make the most of it while we work through this crisis.
