Top 5 Most Positive Neon Signs
08 April 2020 By Jessica Jones
We are living in a very confusing time, with many of us now spending almost all of our time at home. It’s easy to get caught up in the uncertainty of what lies ahead and worry about what each news headline will bring.
At Neon Creations, we want to bring some colour and some positivity to you, whatever you’re doing. Whether you’re attempting to home-school the kids, treating patients in the hospitals or simply just trying to muddle through each day with some sense of normality, we want to remind you that a little positivity can go a long way.
So, if you’re feeling a bit down and unsure, we’ve compiled some of our more cheerful neon signs to give you a little glimmer of optimism.
You might have already seen a few rainbows over the last couple of weeks, as families are putting pictures of rainbows in their windows and some even drawing rainbows in chalk on the pavements. These rainbows are seen as a message of hope, spreading a little cheer to passers-by.
The rainbow has helped to create a bit of community spirit, especially with schools closed and both parents and children alike now spending so much time in their house.
If everything else fails…
Sometimes you just need a little reminder that things could always be worse. While we don’t necessarily condone excessive drinking, sometimes a glass or two of wine is all you need to unwind in the evening, giving you a chance to remind yourself that you have a roof over your head and a loving family.
While it can get hectic being at home with your family all the time, especially if you have bored children, it’s important to remember that you should cherish being able to spend this much time with your loved ones. If you’re really struggling to see the good side to this, that bottle of wine is waiting for you!
The smiley face
You can’t get much more positive than this. Even just looking at a smile can help you to feel a little better about things. This is a great reminder that there is always something to smile about, whether it’s having your favourite food for tea, the sun has come out or the kids have finally done their schoolwork without complaint.
It’s key to find a little sliver of happiness in whatever you’re doing, even if you can’t do your usual hobbies because of closures.
Remember what’s to come
We might be in lockdown now, but it won’t last forever! It’s a really tough time for everyone, including many businesses up and down the country, and it can be difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel. However, there will be good times ahead. If you’ve had a holiday cancelled or had to let staff go, it’s important to try and find ways of coming back from it all.
The news headlines can be scary, with threats to the economy and travel companies lengthening their restrictions. It’s important to focus on the here and now, but also for the future. There will be a time when we look back on this period and breathe a sigh of relief that things are gradually returning to normal.
We will get through this
It might feel like we’re in the depths of confusion and uncertainty, but things are always tough in the beginning as we learn to adjust to our new circumstances. If you want to be productive, go for it! If you want to have a lazy day in your loungewear, you do that.
Everyone will deal with this period of history differently, and if you’re finding it difficult, lean on your family for support. Ring your friends, connect with people through social media and try to maintain as much normality in your routine as you can.
Hopefully this gives you a little boost as you get through each day during this very strange time.
