Conditions of Hire

The neon sign is being hired according to the dates and price set out in the contract of hire.

The neon sign remains the property of Neon Creations Ltd at all times.

A deposit of £50 (payable by cash or credit / debit card) is required for the hire of the neon sign. The deposit will be refundable upon return of the neon sign provided that there is no damage to the neon sign and that it is returned on or before the date agreed above.

As the deposit does not reflect the value of the neon sign we also require credit / debit card details for all neon sign hire. These details will be kept for the duration of the hire period, and the card charged according to the following:

• If the neon sign is lost or stolen or not returned within 7 days of the end date of the hire period, Neon Creations Ltd will be entitled to recover the full cost of the neon sign over and above the deposit amount.
• If any damage has occurred during the hire period a repair fee will be charged. The cost of repair will depend on the extent of the damage, and we are therefore entitled to recover costs over and above the deposit amount. The neon sign must be returned to Neon Creations Ltd on or before the date specified above, even if it has been damaged during use.

The neon sign will incur a late return charge, which will be at the rate of £50 +VAT per day. Any costs not covered by the deposit will be charged to the hirer’s credit / debit card if received at Neon Creations later than the contracted date.

The neon sign must not be used outdoors unless we agree otherwise.

The neon sign must not be modified in any way.

The neon sign must be plugged into an accessible plug socket using the 240 volt UK plug on the mains cable of the neon sign, and not hard wired into the mains electricity supply.

The neon sign must be used only with the fixings we supply with it. If the sign is being fixed onto the wall, the sign must have fixings at all 4 points. If the sign is hanging, then the chain we have supplied must be fixed to all hanging points.

The neon sign must be returned and re-packaged in the same condition and packaging in which it was received.

If not using our delivery/collection service, the hirer will be liable for the cost of any damage that occurs during transportation.
