So, following on from our post a couple of days ago, we can reveal that Neon Creations made a neon sign saying ‘RVP’ which was featured in the pre-match build up on ESPN today before the Man Utd vs Norwich game.

The neon light was made as part of a montage that was put together showcasing Robin van Persie on ESPN before the game on Saturday 17th November.

We are waiting to be sent a link of the clip, so once we have this we will post.

Can’t say too much at the moment, but we were recently approached to make a neon sign that will feature in the Manchester Utd vs Norwich pre-match build-up on ESPN this Saturday, 17th November. Kick-off is 5:30pm so for those of you that have ESPN make sure you tune in before the game.

The manufacture of the neon sign was filmed on Wednesday.

We were kindly informed by one of our suppliers today that we were mentioned in an article in the Mail on Sunday’s ‘You’ supplement,

The article features George and Leonora Bamford’s house in London, and if you scroll to the end of the article you will see our ‘Shoes’ neon sign that has been installed above the doorway to the dressing room.

The project was actually completed at the end of 2009, so it’s great to hear that Leonora is still thrilled with the end result.

We’re feeling rather pleased with ourselves after finding out that we feature on Vogue’s list of the 100 Best Shops outside of London.

A recent article in US industry magazine ‘Signs of the Times’ reports that Neon and Cold cathode lighting have recently given the GREEN tick of approval by the UL ENERGY VERIFIED PROGRAM. Due to efficient energy consumption, increased light output and also the extreme longevity of neon it has been recognised as a viable GREEN light source… but as the attached article states…. energy efficient lighting is being imported from China yet we have been producing a GREEN light source for over 100 years.

Little Mix ‘Wings’ Video

Back in April we were sworn to secrecy when we produced a set of neon signs for Little Mix, the winners of the X Factor in 2011, but now their first single ‘Wings’ is due for release, we are able to talk about our involvement in the project.

We worked closely with a London based agency to produce 3 neon signs to their specific designs.

We manufactured 3 Neon Lights for Little Mix

The most unusual of the signs was a 1.3m high heart shaped neon sign, which needed to be free standing rather than suspended from chains, or fixed onto a wall.

The other 2 signs, which were ‘LITTLE’ and ‘MIX’ were constructed in such a way that they could either stand on the floor or stack on top of each other.

We wish the girls every success with their upcoming single release.

Since the beginning of this year, we have been working on a few projects for Urban Outfitters, the “urban cool” clothing retailer.

Most recently we worked in partnership with one of their other suppliers to produce the shop front signage for their flagship Oxford Street store.

For the same store, we also made the neon for their neon sign on the second floor, which can be seen from a distance away in Oxford Street.

Other projects that we have been involved in are custom made specialist lights, which have been installed at their White City and Berlin stores, and shortly Nuremburg. Pictures to follow.

Towards the end of last year, we manufactured 2 neon signs for the Mini Showroom on Park Lane in London.

Whilst we always take pictures of the signs we produce before they leave our workshop, we think that pictures of the signs in place look much better, so we always like to encourage our customers to send us pictures of their signs in place.
